What Is Personal Power and Does It Scare You?

Personal power is a word that scares many people and I noticed that women seem to be more uncomfortable with men. First, what is generally known as "power" is not really power at all, but "the force" based on fear.

Just think about it, aggression and anger, two emotions left hemisphere of the brain normally used for the survival response full of fear "fight, flight or freeze." Are necessary if life is really in danger, however, usually in our society, when the power is defined, it is this place of fear.

It comes from a place of inner security and peace. This is part of the problem with using the word "power." It is usually considered as "power over" others. I disagree. The cowardly kind of power we see in our world today is about self-protection, usually due to selfishness, because the mentality of failure, unfair intimidation or a sense of fear and separation from others, including greed.

This is not really the power of fear to all but obvious, hiding behind the mask of the material in any way. The person who acts in this place is very likely that hides behind a mask to protect his sense of failure, either money or authority.

For example, I just read an article in Time magazine, May 30, 2011 on "Sex. Lies. Arrogance. What makes men powerful law, like pigs." I say it is a bruised ego, insecure and lack of true personal power, without self-control - if one is so powerful, why would I need to try to rape a hotel housekeeper who is there to clean your fourth, as an act of service?

Such weak performance is covered by the use of physical force and social status (the article was about the scandal of attempted rape by a senior French political and financial support during his stay in New York and several other high profile stories, supposedly "powerful" men). Part of the problem is how to define power in the first place.

Men who lie, abuse of power and violation traps are not powerful in my eyes, I do not care what status they carry. This is really a coward, uninspired performance.

True personal power comes from being inside a place of acceptance of yourself, doing your best and let go instead of perfectionism, and allow others the space to be themselves instead of judging and comparing everything and everybody to a subjective criteria. It is an inner glow. It is self-control and discipline and recognition of our connection to all of life and use this inner power for the expression of the highest-minded and use of activities for the good of all - Be capable of stated objectives in the flow of life.

Unfortunately, some people hand over their personal power for fear that energy can only be a "bad" What we seek power over others. In addition, many of us feel like victims and so do not claim our authority within our own lives. Just be clear with your own intention. If you want to have the confidence to take risks, be innovative, expanding your business network or just standing in the crowd, you will need to clarify the true meaning of "personal power" and take ownership of their own.

The distorted view of what it means to not have to stay stuck and playing small when you begin to understand the role of thinking of the old conditioning an impact on your perception. Perception is reality, so make sure your brain is creating its own reality in a way that allows him to live with more purpose, peace and personal power in business and life. What are your thoughts on the personal power
